SCI has the Experience & Skills to be a Great Resource for your Infrastructure and Technology Projects

SCI Offers 25+ Years of Experience

For over 25 years, Service Communications Inc. has provided a single source solution for our customers’ technology and infrastructure requirements. We began by installing and maintaining voice and data cabling along with a full range of telephony products. Then we expanded into point-of-sale and security systems as well as setting up data center infrastructure and providing fiber optic support. More recently we added installation of the most rigidly specified video walls you can imagine, and all the while we evolved into offering very technical engineering and IT project management services nationwide.

Our pool of in-house and partner specialists and technicians has grown with our customers to support national retail rollouts, acquisitions and fast growth, and global consulting. We also enjoy helping our smaller customers with full service IT planning and assistance, allowing them to take advantage of our buying power and economies. Many organizations run with lean resources. IT teams, facilities departments, and internal project management teams have frequently been thinned down since the last recession. Technology upgrade deployments and other rollouts can really stretch those internal resources taking them away from their critical day-to-day activities. We can, and do, augment those resources all the time. One of our primary goals is to help make your job easier.

Let us introduce you to just a few of our most senior team members.

BILL GARRARD

President

Bill joined SCI in 2004 as CFO of the organization; he became President and a co-owner in 2010. Bill began his professional career with Price Waterhouse in Vancouver, Canada, serving privately held business. He came to the U.S. in 1997 as the CFO of publicly traded Loud Technologies (then Mackie Designs), a professional audio equipment manufacturer with headquarters in Woodinville, Washington, and locations around the world. Bill graduated from Concordia University in Montreal with a degree in Marketing, and somehow found his way into the world of accounting becoming a Chartered Accountant, now CPA, in 1982. Bill enjoys his family, his garden, and occasionally golf. His family owns a little retreat in the mountains of British Columbia that keeps him out of trouble when he has idle time. Bill serves on the board of Kirkland, Washington, based Friends of Youth.

ANDREW HASSARD

Vice President

In 1989, Andrew and his father created SCI, thereby making Andrew the longest tenured employee of the company. He is a structured cabling expert and a hands-on technician, project manager, and leader. It is not unusual to find him working night shift side-by-side with his team and the next day sitting with his customers providing in-depth value engineering solutions for their projects. He will immerse himself in customer technologies and projects to the point that he routinely becomes the recognized ‘go-to’ guy by all concerned. “How should we do this?” is followed by “Better talk to Andrew.” Andrew is an avid outdoorsman pursuing off-road activities that include riding snowmobiles and dirt bikes with abandon and he’s even been known to jump out of an airplane for fun. He’s also a certified dive instructor and trains others in the pursuit of adventure at the bottom of the sea.

STACEY HASSARD

Vice President
Although Stacey has only been on staff with SCI for a short time, she has managed several ad hoc projects for us over the past two decades. Her prior real estate, construction, project, and facilities management experience lends itself well to partnering with our fast-moving clients to support their needs. With a degree in business from the University of Washington, and several years’ experience developing & implementing market strategies for a software company, Stacey will also head up our marketing and community outreach programs. Living in the shadow of Mt. Si, just east of Seattle, Stacey likes to hike, bike, and photograph our beautiful area. But her passion is experiencing what our world has to offer – whether exploring tombs and belly dancing in Egypt, diving with Great Whites in South Africa and Hammerheads in Bimini, or following lions & wild dogs on the hunt in Botswana.
